Ron was never known as the sharpest needle in the box.   Luckily for him, Hermione's tollerance is based on who she knows him to be, not some idealized version of who he will become.   Hmmm...maybe I should add that somewhere.

Thank you for reviewing.   I am affraid that I find it impossible to write the latest chapter (chapter 42) while I am rewriting the earlier chapters.   What I am doing now involves reading and correcting my chapters, essentially a rewrite, and then sending them off to my wonderful Betas.   That is the difference.   Now I have a trusted group of people to Beta my work, and it is making a difference.   It's subtle, but it is there.   I hope that you will stick with me until I reach chapter 41 and then with me as I struggle through writing the new chapters.

Just a heartless tease, but I have three or so chapters written that I am trying to lead up to that consist of the second quidditch match and the aftermath.   No more spoilers than that.

Excellent chapter. What a great prank. Only Gred and Forge could come up with this one! Harry had to have "the talk" with McGonagal AND Pomphrey"!?! Terrific. That was cool about Harry and Ginny having a talk afterward! Very well done! I surprised there was nothing about Mr. & Mrs. Weasley except for the reference to Ginny getting the talk from her mum! Thanks for writing. I really like this one, a lot! pms

I don't know why ginny is freaking out at the end. I thought it'd have been obvious that Harry wanted to have a long relationship with her.

She isn't freaking out in a bad way, just in a shocked, happy way. It took her that to process what he wanted and meant. In the end, she decided that she might just have to change his mind on how limited their time together would be.

There are about five uses of the word "shutter" or "shuttered" in this chapter. I think you might want to check the dictionary... A Shutter is a "A hinged cover or screen for a window, usually fitted with louvers."

I think you are probably looking for the word "Shudder", that is "To shiver convulsively, as from fear or revulsion."

That said, having read this also on ff.net I have to agree that getting "The Talk" from Minny and Poppy has got to be the worst possible thing for a young man to endure. I think I'll do a little shuddering myself.

And I also congratulate you on that great line "no hanky, and certainly no panky". That is a laugh-out-loud line if I ever saw one.

There are no new chapters because, after FF.n deleted me, I was invited here and I decided to do a rewrite and Beta of the story.   When I finish the previously posted chapters, I will continue my writing of new chapters, not before.
